Responsibility
- perform grooming services including bathing, clipping, and styling of pets according to breed standards and client preferences
- ensure the safety and comfort of pets during grooming sessions
- maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grooming area, tools, and equipment
- provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and any concerns
- handle animals safely and compassionately, using appropriate techniques for restraint when necessary
- assist in the care of animals in the facility, including feeding, walking, and monitoring their behaviour
- keep accurate records of services provided and any special instructions or notes regarding each pet
- collaborate with veterinary staff when necessary to address health concerns or special requirements
Requirements
- proven experience as a Pet Groomer or in a similar role is preferred
- strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients
- knowledge of animal behaviour and care practices
- ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or equipment
- certification in animal care or grooming is an advantage but not mandatory
- excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being
