User evaluation:

Carer wanted to care for young adult with complex medical needs and severe disabilities (nonverbal).
You will need to live in and be on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for 52 weeks of the year. No bank holidays or annual leave. No sick leave. Breaks during the day or sleep at night cannot be guaranteed.
Need to understand makaton. Need to do personal care. Need to be medicine-trained. Need to be able to do advocacy and be able to communicate effectively. Need to be able to multitask. Need to be motivating, reliable, and bubbly.
No pay, but an allowance of £81.90 per week based on 35 hours min work a week. However, this caring role actually requires 168 hours a week of commitment - that's 47 pence an hour (sorry, that's all the government is willing to give).
