Responsibility

  • the Chef is responsible for preparing, cooking, and arranging food in accordance to Caribbean Spice Restaurant's guidelines
  • the Chef is also responsible for equipment maintenance and safety standards
  • this individual will assist with the preparing of Caribbean food to a very high standard with the Executive Chef with their departments, set up, and supervision of their kitchen staff

Requirements

  • able to communicate effectively with customers and other staff
  • able to lift, push, pull and maneuver objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • able to stand for long periods of time
  • able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • interest in learning new skills and techniques
  • interest in culinary arts, hospitality, or restaurant management a plus
  • 2+ years of kitchen experience required
