Responsibility
- your most significant contribution is that of a professional parent, nurturing and caring for the young people looked after by CCS
- you will take a child-centred approach to provide high-quality care enabling young people to grow and develop healthily
- as providing high-quality child care requires, you must actively participate in team activities
- such flexibility and teamwork allow children and young people to receive consistent care from regular carers
- you will implement and maintain clear and consistent boundaries to create a safe and secure environment for each young person to flourish
- you will also work with parents, families, and other professional service providers
- you will need to be flexible in your approach to work, as on occasion, you may be called upon to cover a shift due to a colleague's absence
- from time to time, your caring role may involve providing a link role for a young person
Requirements
- be committed to completing the NVQ level 3 award in Health and Social Care within 12 months of registration
- NVQ level 3 award in Health & Social Care or Caring for Children and Young People
