- provide technical leadership and inspire project teams to perform, innovate and deliver sustainable design solutions
- manage multi-disciplinary design teams executing basic and detailed design packages
- own and manage the Project Engineering Management Plan, and audit compliance by all relevant designers
- ensure engineering assurance is undertaken in accordance with the EMP and client requirements
- identification and control of engineering design change
- preparing scope, schedule, and other technical documents for RFP processes
- chair and/or attend relevant governance, technical and progress meetings with client and project stakeholders
- ensure the responsibilities under CDM 2015 for Principal Designer are discharged in accordance with the regulations
Requirements
- accredited degree or global equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline
- professional accreditation in your field of Engineering
- minimum 10yrs experience in a similar position
- full UK driving license
- job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the project
- ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and efficient manner
- ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable county, province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
- ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
