- manage donations and always ensure suitability and adequate levels of stock on the shop floor and on eBay
- manage unsaleable donations through effective recycling
- manage gift aid process
- ensure the shop is a safe, pleasant environment for both customers, and volunteers
- ensure the organisation's policies and procedures are adhered to and risks fed back to the Shop Manager
- manage and minimise risks to meet all safeguards in relation to financial procedures, health & safety, and safeguarding
- ensure the shop premises are secure
- promote CAPE shop into the community through events and fundraising initiatives

- retail and sales

- recognising stock potential to generate income
- merchandising, visual displays, shop layouts and window design
- generating highest sales value from donated goods
- ability to sort and process donations
- handling cash/cashflow systems, electronic tills, card machines and collating financial information
