Responsibility
- design, build and execute data collection and data manipulation pipelines required to build and operate the Cantine suite of tools
- perform feature extraction and feature engineering from audio files and other sources required to train and deploy our predictive models
- apply a range of standard and advanced data science algorithms to train, validate and implement the Cantine model suite
- perform model monitoring, providing key performance indicators to inform the need for new models or new data
- support the engineering team in accurate implementation of the models and their downstream use in the Cantine product suite
- support the wider data science team in providing business-focussed insight
- perform analysis to support commercial initiatives
- clearly communicate progress, requirements, and report results
Education
- master's
Requirements
- deep knowledge of a range of supervised and unsupervised ML methods
- good understanding of statistical concepts such as sample size calculation, confidence interval estimation and hypothesis testing
- proficient user of Python. Optional use of R
- experience in data visualization tools, e.g., Tableau, Streamlit or R Shiny
- ability to think through problems creatively and independently
- curiosity to explore new models and ways of interpreting data
- ability to document work, summarize concepts and present progress
