Working hours

Responsibility
- mechanical Design Engineer
- develop system design philosophy
- participate fully in the development of Functional Design Specification, and FMECA
- set an example of professional conduct for others to aspire to – you will carry out your duties professionally and resolve any incidents of below-standard conduct immediately
- be a leader, take charge and direct when required, as well as offer opinions and comment to colleagues to achieve business goals
- HSEQ and Operational procedures as identified in the Company HSEQ Manuals are adhered to at all times
- you will apply Company and where appropriate, the group and / or Client’s Health, Safety
- in addition, you will carry out any other duties that reasonably and naturally fall within your role and which the Company deems you to be competent to undertake
Requirements
- experience in the design and installation of Previous experience in a similar role, mechanical systems preferably in a marine environment
- experience in analytical design, including stress analysis, performing calculations, developing and interpreting FEA
- knowledge of design of hydraulically and electrically actuated equipment would be a distinct advantage
- problem solving and innovation
- commercial understanding and experience of design planning and executing work to tight schedules
- able to manage a varied and interesting workload encompassing all aspects of modern engineering design and be able to work as part of a team, leading project teams where required
