transport planner
Responsibility
- day to day planning/routing and running of the vehicles and drivers, operating Nationally and Internationally
- providing first class customer service when liaising with customers and suppliers
- preparing and processing relevant paperwork
- ensure company compliance of all transport policies, legislation and procedures relating to Tachographs, Drivers’ Hours Rules, WTD & RTD
- scheduling vehicle maintenance and repairs
- calculating customer quotes
- monitoring employee hours and providing information for wages process
- complying with Health and Safety and Legal requirements
Requirements
- knowledge of transport regulations
- transport planner experience is essential
- excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- strong organisational and time management skills
- sound geographical knowledge of the UK
- ability to motivate team members and provide leadership skills and support
- experience & interest in the equine industry would be an advantage
- HGV Licence & CPC qualification would be an advantage
