- safely operate the FLT counterbalance to unload goods from HGVs and place them into designated lanes for reloading onto delivery vans
- ensure minimal instances of damaged or misplaced goods by ensuring accuracy in loading and unloading vehicles
- perform safety checks on equipment and ensure adherence to health and safety processes
- assign tasks to the team to ensure productivity while also ensuring the team works efficiently and safely
- carefully handle and load products to prevent damage during transit, ensuring accurate placement of stock
- maintain a safe working environment, ensuring all staff follow PPE regulations and report health and safety incidents promptly
- work closely with drivers to ensure timely departures from the site and efficient loading of delivery vehicles

Requirements
- must have a valid, in-date FLT counterbalance license and experience operating the truck
- A working knowledge of health and safety regulations with the ability to enforce safe working practices
- familiarity with warehouse processes including stock management, loading/unloading vehicles, and maintaining safety standards
- able to coordinate a team, assign tasks, and monitor performance to meet targets
- able to identify and resolve issues, such as delays, equipment malfunctions, or stock discrepancies
- good communication skills and a practical approach
- previous experience in a warehouse lead or supervisory role is an advantage but not essential
