Working hours
- part-time
Responsibility
- provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in the nursery
- plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum
- supervise and engage children in play and learning activities
- assist with feeding, diapering, and other personal care needs of children
- building blocks day care is a small and friendly nursery just a 5 min walk from Bellingham British rail station and very close to Bromley road with multiple bus routes from Lewisham and Bromley
- monitor and ensure the safety of children at all times
- we are looking for a friendly and bubbly team member to join us who is a minimum level 3 qualified to work Monday to Wednesday or alternatively can work all week all year round or term time only, the working hours are 7.30-5.30 or 8-6
- communicate with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
Education
- GCSE or equivalent
Requirements
- previous experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting is preferred
- knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities
- ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
- ability to work well as part of a team
