Responsibility
- undertake engine repairs, including internal components, to resolve complex issues
- prepare vehicles for MOT inspections, ensuring they meet all regulatory requirements
- execute larger repair projects such as head gasket replacements, tappet replacements, and engine replacements when necessary
- collaborate with other members of the team to prioritize and complete repair tasks within given timeframes
- carry out repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure vehicles are in optimal condition, meeting safety and performance standards
- perform comprehensive inspections and diagnose mechanical issues in vehicles
- maintain accurate records of all repairs, services, and parts used
Requirements
- minimum 10 years of experience working as a professional mechanic, specializing in complex repairs
- proficient in diagnosing and resolving a wide range of mechanical issues in various vehicle makes and models
- in-depth knowledge of engine internals, including extensive experience working on internal components
- ability to self-manage and prioritize tasks effectively, demonstrating a high level of initiative and problem-solving skills
- strong attention to detail and the ability to consistently deliver high-quality workmanship
- familiarity with MOT requirements and regulations
- excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- valid driver's license and clean driving record
