compliance officer
Responsibility
- utilise exception reports to investigate trade activity
- conduct electronic communication and telephone reviews routinely
- assist the Regulatory Reporting team with trade or transaction report queries
- draft and enhance procedures and create processes relating to FICC
- undertake relevant parts of the compliance monitoring programme pertaining to FICC
- liaise and work with both UK and US Compliance personnel and other Affiliates to ensure consistency when needed
- deal with ad hoc enquiries from the business and provide guidance and support
- curate and deliver appropriate compliance training
Requirements
- minimum 5 years of relevant experience working in fixed income compliance within an investment bank or global broker-dealer
- previous experience of FICC including primary and secondary Fixed Income transactions including structured products
- LMA Loan origination including experience with primary loan distribution processes
- thorough understanding of regulations, in particular MAR, SYSC and COBs
- meticulous attention to detail
- organised and methodical
- proactive and self-motivated
- problem solving skills – logical, critical thinking
