- visiting customers and prospects to assess needs or promote products and services
- answer customer questions about credit terms, products, prices, and availability. Understand and promote company products and programmes
- meet or exceed set sales targets
- coordinate sales efforts with set marketing programmes
- use Sage 50 to maintain customer records and CRM
- generate business from the current customer base to be assigned, source new customers and negotiate all contracts with prospective customers to finalise deals
- monitors competition by gathering current market information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules and merchandising techniques
- recommends changes in products, services and policies by evaluating results and competitive developments
Requirements
- bachelor's degree in business, marketing, economics or a related field
- minimum 5 years’ experience in B2B sales
- ability to negotiate and close deals successfully
- commitment to excellent customer service
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- brilliant interpersonal skills and ability to quickly build rapport with customers
- strong time management skills
- understanding different sales strategies and the ability to use them successfully, understand sales processes and dynamics
