Responsibility
- assist the Head chef and Sous Chef with the Afternoon Tea preparation
- prepare a wide variety of goods such as cookies, macaroons, pastries, etc. following traditional and modern recipes
- assist the Head chef with preparation of our different menus
- monitors kitchen equipment and reports issues to superiors
- checks products in Kitchen unit area and restocks items to ensure a sufficient supply throughout the shift
- sorting, storing and distributing ingredients
- measures, mixes, and prepares meal ingredients if required
- work well within the team, communicating effectively with all necessary team members to ensure all preparation, closing down, and other associated tasks are completed effectively and efficiently
Requirements
- proven experience as Assistant Pastry Chef minimum 2 years
- great attention to detail and creativity
- working knowledge of baking with ingredient limitations
- willingness to replenish professional knowledge
- the ability to work in a team
- baking: 3 years
