we're looking for reliable, enthusiastic and fun Supervisor to work on our family owned farm
ability to supervise staff working in a variety of kiosks and outlets, to ensure compliance with procedures
running till reports and assisting with cashing up tills and weekly reconciliations
assisting with stock control, logging deliveries and ordering stock
assist with administrative tasks, logging deliveries, with
retail/hospitality supervisory: 1 year
working in conjunction with the General Manager, you will be helping to supervise a diverse range of outlets on the farm
providing excellent levels of customer service to represent The Farm in a positive light at all times and leading by example to ensure staff do the same

practical and applied knowledge of commercial purchasing procedures and practice including negotiation and contract law
knowledge of MRP systems
strong experience with supplier negotiations, supplier relationship management and supplier governance
experience of purchasing in a low to medium volume environment
strong analytical skills to perform spend analysis, PO/invoice analysis and ability to work with data
experience of driving value for money/savings
experience working within the horticultural/pharmaceutical industry is desirable

this will include hand watering and feeding plants, and assisting with pest and disease control
the bedding season is an exceptionally busy time for the business and therefore additional help is needed from Feb-July/March-August
this role will join an existing team where you will be trained and shown how to care for plants being grown in one of the most modern horticultural nurseries in the UK
working hours will typically be 7/7.30am to 4/4.30pm however this can be weather dependent and hours may extend up to 12 per day at times within the busy season therefore flexibility is essential, and weekend working will be required to ensure we meet all customer needs
this can be a strenuous role involving movement of equipment and walking long distance so successful applicants will need to be agile and possess reasonable levels of fitness
