nursery manager
Working hours
- full-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- responsible for the day to day management, staffing, organisation and smooth running of the Nursery
- creating a welcoming and family friendly environment
- to lead the strategic planning, monitoring, evaluation and development of the nursery
- ensure high standards of care and education of children between 2-5 years in accordance with current standards of practice
- ensure the relevant Curriculums are promoted and delivered within the setting and the principles are adhered to
- observe, monitor and support staff professional development
- lead quality assurance process to ensure high standards of care at all times
- help ensure effective communication between staff, families and partner organisations
Requirements
- education qualifications
- experience of working collaboratively and leading a staff team
- excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor your communication to different individuals
- sound knowledge of all policies and procedures of current legislation relating to nurseries
- BA Childhood Practice or currently/ willing to work towards this to register as a Manager of Daycare Services for Children with SSSC
- management: 1 year
- nursery: 5 years
- childcare: 5 years
