BOURNEMOUTH AND POOLE PROPERTIES is looking for employees for positions:
health & safety officer
Responsibility
- maintaining and promoting safe working practices for apprentices and students on work placements in accordance with the college Health and Safety policy and procedures
- carrying out accompanied site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented as required for apprenticeships and high/medium risk work placements/work experience
- ensuring that all medium and high-risk Work Placement checks are carried out by trained individuals as necessary, work with Industry Placement Team and Managers to ensure compliance
- maintaining efficient record keeping and tracking systems using the systems provided and stipulated by the College and report agreed targets in a timely manner against agreed deadlines
- liaising with Industrial Placement Team and Apprenticeship Team to co-ordinate any advice and standardisation of Health and Safety matters across the College as appropriate
- the above list of duties is not exhaustive and is subject to change. The post holder may be required to undertake other duties within the scope and grading of the post
