Responsibility

  • the candidate will be responsible for ensuring the desired quality standards and quantities are met
  • workshop is in Swanwick, hours of work 8am-5pm Monday-Friday
  • we are currently looking for a wood machinist/operative for our workshop which centres around the manufacturing of garden gates, sheds, fence panels and general machining of timber for the fencing industry
  • the ideal candidate will be working in a busy workshop, cutting timber to the required specifications, working from orders and using the relevant machinery
  • should be familiar with operating a variety of woodworking machines but primarily cross-cut saws, spindle moulder, rip saw, band saw and mortiser & tenoner
  • some experience would be preferred, training given on the job but we expect the chosen applicant to work quickly and of their own initiative
