Responsibility
- contact potential customers to establish of they have a courier requirement and if so make an appointment for a Sales Team
- to make a minimum of 5 to 8 new business appointments per week
- to make a minimum of 40 new calls per day
- answer questions about products or the company
- ask questions to understand customer requirements and close sales
- direct prospects to the Sales Team as and when needed
- enter and update customer information in our ACT database
- go the “extra mile” to meet sales quota and facilitate future sales
Requirements
- experience of working in the courier industry either in a customer service or sales environment preferred but not essential
- proven experience as telesales representative or other sales/customer service role is advantageous but not essential
- proven track record of successfully meeting sales quota preferably over the phone preferred but not essential
- good knowledge of relevant computer programs and telephone systems is preferred but not essential
- ability to learn about products and services and describe/explain them to prospects
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- cool-tempered and able to handle rejection
