Responsibility
- interpret and follow blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and materials required
- measure and cut bricks, blocks, or other materials to size using hand and power tools
- lay bricks, blocks, or stones according to plans, ensuring proper alignment and spacing
- apply mortar or other adhesives to bind materials together
- construct corners, arches, and other intricate features using advanced masonry techniques
- repair and replace damaged bricks, blocks, or mortar as needed
- clean and prepare surfaces prior to laying bricks or other materials
- ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times
Requirements
- proven experience as a Bricklayer or similar role in the construction industry
- proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- strong knowledge of masonry techniques, materials, and tools
- ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions
- effective communication skills and the ability to follow instructions
- certification or training in bricklaying or masonry is preferred but not required
