Responsibility
- project finances – log staff time and material costs to each project
- collate supplier invoices for payment, managing cash flow efficiently
- client invoices – raise and chase payment
- day to day liaison with company accountant, monthly despatch of invoices and quarterly VAT returns
- monthly payroll administration – confirm hours to company accountant, pay salaries, NEST and HMRC returns
- ongoing liaison with NEST and HMRC as required
- purchasing – move towards placing orders, finding best value and financial management
- move finance record keeping in-house in medium term, maintaining records on Xero and bank reconciliations
Requirements
- fully or part-qualified accountant or Qualified By Experience
- willingness and ability to take ownership of cost and revenue systems, processes and information and demonstrate leadership to achieve objectives
- A good communicator and team worker with highly developed inter-personal skills, dealing with all parties in a professional and courteous manner
- able to multi-task and work to strict deadlines
- enthusiasm for delivering change to improve systems and information
