Requirements
- GCSE or equivalent literacy and numeracy Essential A
- degree level qualification in Facility Management or similar Desirable A relevant sector (Or significant experience in a similar role –
- 3 years or more.)
- building and construction operations or equipment repair Essential A & I experience in a customer facing environment
- A willingness to work unsociable hours as per the needs of Essential A & I the post
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification or similar Desirable A
- excellent people skills the ability to establish good Essential A & I professional relationships with young people and adults
- experience of building management systems Desirable A & I
Responsibility
- carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by manager
- respond to and reset the alarm when required, liaising with the alarm company and police as necessary
- oversee all fire safety arrangements, training and tests. This is to include regular alarm and call point tests and monthly test of evacuation procedures
- you will be the central point of contact for estates and facilities issues and will be responsible for the management of numerous projects and remedial action requests raised by employees, volunteers, partners and service users
- you will be required to liaise with suppliers and contractors, seeking approval, instructing orders, reviewing schedules, and ensuring costs and service levels are maintained in line with budgets and
- where necessary, carry out simple plumbing, electrical, joinery and building works not requiring technical qualifications
