Responsibility
- maintain accurate financial records by recording all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments
- reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts
- manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments
- assist forecasting, and cash flow management
- implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- assist with other finance-related tasks and projects as required
- liaison with our accountancy firm to assist them in preparing and submitting tax returns, including VAT, PAYE, and other required filings
- working within the team to assist in the smooth running of our office, this is an administrative task shared by all, including company owners
Requirements
- experience in bookkeeping or a related admin role
- strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records
- flexibility with deadlines and time management focusing on the right task at the right time
- strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the want to work with company owners to make effective decisions which help Big Think progress
