Responsibility
A full UK Driving Licence is a requirement for this position
maintaining our sites and making remedies/repairs where required
supporting the repair and maintenance team, with all maintenance duties within Big Help Group properties including housing, offices, shops and warehouses
work within guidelines of health and safety and follow specific instruction to ensure the safety of yourself and others
working closely with members of the repair and maintenance team, the role involves maintaining and preparing a diverse property portfolio, requiring a range of building and maintenance skills and a high standard of customer service
perform basic maintenance jobs as prescribed by the ACOO or other members of the Senior team
the successful candidate will undertake general internal and external repairs and maintenance, will be multi-skilled in all building trades including roofing, joinery, basic plumbing, electrics, plastering, painting and grounds maintenance
undertake decoration of our properties as directed to include preparation and painting of surfaces
Requirements
full UK Driving license with no more than 6 points A recognised trade qualification would be an advantage
skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrics, glazing, decorating
knowledge of machinery and using power tools
experience of working within a Regulated Housing provider or similar organisation
an ordered approach to work and willingness to follow and develop agreed procedures
able to recognise necessary repairs before causing any dangerous or serious issues
maintenance: 1 year
comfortable Working with individuals facing poverty and / or with dysfunctional and chaotic lifestyles
