Responsibility
- greet customers as they arrive and provide excellent customer service throughout their shopping experience
- ring up sales transactions accurately and efficiently using a cash register or POS system
- maintain accurate records of all sales transactions, including cash, credit card, and other payment methods
- maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store shelves and display areas
- stock shelves and rotate merchandise as needed to ensure that products are fresh and fully stocked
- keep track of inventory levels and coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries
- maintain a safe and clean working environment by following cleaning and sanitation guidelines
- monitor and report on sales trends and inventory levels to management Assist customers with product inquiries and provide recommendations as needed
Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience as a cashier or in a retail environment preferred
- strong attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling
- excellent customer service and communication skills
- ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed
- proficiency in basic math and computer skills
- availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Education
- GCSE or equivalent
