Responsibility
- install, commission, and maintain air-sourced heat pumps for residential and commercial properties
- conduct mechanical assessments and diagnose faults to ensure efficient operation and optimal performance of heat pump systems
- perform mechanical repairs and replacements, including pumps, motors, compressors, and other mechanical components
- collaborate with the electrical team to ensure successful integration of mechanical and electrical systems
- complete necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and efficiently
- provide technical support and advice to customers on heat pump operation and maintenance
- adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 in Mechanical Engineering
- proven experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems, preferably air-sourced heat pumps or other renewable energy systems
- basic understanding of electrical systems and willingness to undertake limited electrical installations
- strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues
- A valid driving license and willingness to travel to various locations within South London as required
- A commitment to sustainability and a keen interest in renewable energy technologies
