Responsibility

  • collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences for outdoor spaces
  • conduct site visits and land surveys to assess existing conditions and gather necessary data
  • prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for landscape projects
  • oversee the implementation of landscape designs, ensuring that they are executed according to plan
  • provide guidance and supervision to landscape crews during installation and maintenance activities
  • monitor the health and growth of plants, making recommendations for pruning, fertilization, and irrigation adjustments
  • design and create landscape plans, including plant selection, hardscape elements, and lighting and irrigation systems alongside outdoor living spaces, swimming pools, drainage systems, water features and complex garden rooms and structures
  • stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in landscape architecture

Requirements

  • strong design skills with a keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail
  • proficiency in CAD software and other design tools used in landscape architecture
  • knowledge of plant species, their growth habits, and maintenance requirements
  • ability to effectively communicate ideas and concepts to clients, contractors, and team members
  • strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • ability and confidence to meet well heeled clients and communicate ideas clearly and efficiently
  • the role will include devising design concepts, details and lots of site based work, meeting with the various construction teams and clients alike to ensure the projects are completed beautifully and on time
