Responsibility
- registered Manager/Home Manager, The Responsible Individual, Service Manager
- SRSW’s, RSW’s
- this position requires an enhanced DBS check and barred check list
- the Deputy Manager will at times be part of any investigation processes
- the Deputy Manager must promote the safeguarding culture for Benecare at all times
- to promote the company safeguarding and child protection policies at all times
- the Deputy Manager is a Designated Safeguarding Lead for Benecare and will at times be involved with managing any safeguarding concerns within the company
- to actively engage with any safeguarding training
Requirements
- have attained a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care for Children and Young People or equivalent
- experience of working with children and young people with challenging behaviours
- A sound working knowledge of the statutory requirements related to children’s residential care
- comprehensive knowledge of the Children’s Act
- ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, able to present information in an understandable way
- proven report writing and recording skills able to present information in an understandable way
- organisation and leadership skills
- able to demonstrate an understanding of children and young people’s needs and their development
