Responsibility

  • we are currently seeking a Director of Finance and Corporate Services to join our Senior Leadership Team on a permanent basis
  • the post-holder will maintain an overview of the organisation’s financial and corporate affairs, ensuring its financial viability and to ensure proper fiscal management
  • working closely with the Chief Executive and the Executive team the post-holder will participate as an integral member of the Senior Leadership Team and actively contribute to the organisation’s strategic planning, implementation, and delivery

Education

  • bachelor's

Requirements

  • membership of one of the major professional accountancy bodies or equivalent
  • strategic and business planning and management experience
  • knowledge and experience of risk management
  • understanding of financial impact of decisions and proposals
  • ability to interpret and challenge information and projections
  • experience of developing and implementing accounting systems and controls in a rapidly changing environment
  • ability to provide effective leadership and build a positive team spirit and inspire, motivate and support colleagues
  • significant experience at Finance Director level of accounting for a charity or similar organisation including knowledge of the Charities Statement of Recommended Practice, HMRC regulations and VAT as applied to charities
