Responsibility
- develop and maintain websites and web applications using WordPress, PHP, and ASP.NET
- implement responsive design principles using CSS and SCSS to ensure compatibility across various devices
- collaborate with UX/UI designers to create wireframes and prototypes that enhance user experience
- write clean, efficient, and well-documented code while adhering to best practices in web development
- manage databases using PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity and security
- troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website functionality and performance
- integrate third-party services and APIs as needed
- participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing through Jenkins for continuous integration
Requirements
- proficiency in WordPress development, including custom themes and plugins
- strong understanding of core web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, SCSS, and ASP.NET
- experience with database management systems, particularly PostgreSQL
- familiarity with wireframing tools and methodologies for effective design communication
- ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated
- excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- knowledge of version control systems is advantageous but not essential
- leeds, LS1 5SH: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work
