- act as specialist resource to raise awareness of falls management & the role of Physiotherapist
Responsibility
- professional expertise is required in the assessment and management of older people who are at risk of falling
- effective management and allocation of work is required to ensure best use of resources in order to respond to referrals within agreed time frames and manage waiting times
- act independently in prioritising patient needs to ensure timely and appropriate intervention which including triaging the referrals at SPA
- to attend staff and in-service meetings
- assist in sustaining links between the NHS, Social Services, and community groups/ agencies so that care continues to be well co ordinated and centred on patient needs
- contribute ideas for service improvement within the clinical team and promote the Specialist Physio role within the organisation
- provide training and advice to team therapists staff through participation and contribution in clinical team training sessions
- SCOPE AND RANGE Range of Clinical Area: The Milton Keynes Integrated Falls Prevention Service has been commissioned by BLMK Integrated Care Board provided by B-Well Group
Requirements
