Responsibility
- lay bricks, blocks, and other masonry materials according to specifications and blueprints
- ensure that all work is completed to the highest quality standards and in compliance with building codes
- use hand tools and power tools effectively to cut, shape, and finish masonry materials
- collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters and roofers, to complete projects efficiently
- perform repairs and maintenance on existing masonry structures as needed
- maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and guidelines
- assist in the training of apprentices or less experienced workers in masonry techniques
Requirements
- proven experience in bricklaying or masonry is essential
- proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in masonry work
- experience working on roofs or with carpentry skills is advantageous but not mandatory
- strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical drawings accurately
- excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
