Responsibility
- assisting with the loading and unloading of goods
- taking receipt of goods inwards, ensuring accurate quantities have been received, dealing effectively with any issues or damages
- accurately logging goods inwards and despatched goods into our stock management system
- storage and rotation of stock, treating our goods with care
- timeously supplying production departments with necessary bulk product and packaging materials
- picking and packing orders to be despatched to our customers
- assisting with inventory controls, typically using hand-held scanners and assist with stock takes
- keeping the warehouse environment clean, tidy and safe, checking and maintaining equipment as necessary, reporting any faults or defects
Requirements
- previous experience in a similar environment with a keen interest in warehouse operations
- NVQ/SVQ in Warehouse, Storage & Logistics and/or Diploma in Warehouse & Inventory management is desirable
- forklift Licence – Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck licence is preferred
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess situations, to quickly solve issues
- A responsible attitude, personable, with excellent customer service and communication skills
