Responsibility

- diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- repair or replace faulty components, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems
- conduct inspections and perform preventative maintenance tasks
- keep accurate records of work performed and parts used
- test drive vehicles to ensure proper functioning after repairs
- fitting of tyres
- MGM Auto Engineers are a small family business and we are currently looking for a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to work for our busy MOT and repair workshop. We are looking for a team player who is also someone that can work on their own initiative
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in light vehicle maintenance or equivalent
- minimum of 2 years experience working as a mechanic in a garage or in a similar role
- strong knowledge of automotive systems and components
- proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- ability to interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- excellent problem-solving skills
- attention to detail and accuracy in work
- MOT Tester license
