Responsibility
- to co-ordinate and lead weekly Room Meetings, ensuring that they are productive, informative inclusive and recorded
- ensure that all duties are completed and are fairly shared amongst the team
- as well as being Room Leader, you are first and foremost still an Early Years Educator, so please always refer to the job description for this role
- ensure necessary information from these meetings is brought to the relevant manager in a professional and timely manner to support the staff as needed
- ensure that staff take their breaks at appropriate times to meet the needs of the children, as well as the smooth running of the room
- ensure organisation of staff to have non-contact time to carry out their responsibilities and where not possible, relay to the relevant manager so that they can support you in providing this time at a later date
- reminding staff of policies and procedures at all times, whether through room meetings, one to one meetings, or on the spot reminders if necessary
- ensure the organisation and layout of the room as well as staff deployment are running to ensure children are safe at all times
