front end developer

Responsibility

  • this is a new role within the team created to improve the front end of our existing applications
  • the ideal candidate will join our team as a senior front end developer
  • working as a member of an agile team and actively supporting new software developments
  • rapidly establishing a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, such as software developers
  • develop scalable web applications using appropriate front end technologies and connecting to back end
  • our applications predominantly have Vue and Angular front ends and the candidate will be responsible for working across all of our front ends to continue to improve and develop them
  • take ownership of projects from concept to deployment
  • we are a small development team primarily consisting of full stack developers so the ideal candidate will bring additional experience and ideas from a front end perspective

Requirements

  • excellent command of front end technologies, particularly Vue and Angular
  • ability to work with designers to produce the best outcomes
  • ability to turn designs into usable, interactive applications
  • proficiency in JavaScript ES6, HTML, CSS/SASS, and web technologies
  • knowledge of CSS libraries and appropriate UX/UI component libraries
  • understand browser rendering behaviour and performance
  • familiarity with databases and RESTful APIs
  • familiarity with version control systems, ideally Git
