Responsibility

  • promote robust financial management across the Trust
  • day to day supervision of Finance Officers
  • to act as first line support on financial matters for the finance central team and academies
  • to support the delivery of the Trust’s financial strategy and projects
  • to contribute to the development of the school business plans and Aspire business plan
  • to support the CFO/Finance manager in finance due diligence for new schools joining the Trust
  • when new schools join the Trust, set up the FMS, train and mentor office staff in the new school
  • to work alongside the CFO/Finance manager to develop new financial procedures, and maintain / update the Aspire Finance Procedures Manual, liaising with colleagues where necessary
