Responsibility
- oversee day-to-day transport operations and ensure compliance with regulations
- utilize transport planning expertise to optimize routes and lead transport planning teams
- maintain high standards of fleet and operational compliance
- grow and develop the vehicle return load utilisation
- demonstrate a progressive approach and a commitment to continuous improvement
- possess a strong and detailed understanding of transport management systems
- uphold professionalism, courtesy, and excellent customer service skills
- manage a fleet of approximately 90+ Artics & Rigids
Requirements
- CPC - Transport Management Qualification
- proven experience managing large-scale transport operations, ideally within FMCG and major food retailer environments
- previous experience in transport planning or leading transport planning teams
- strong understanding of fleet and operational compliance
- familiarity with managing budgets and liaising with subcontractors
- ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- excellent communication and leadership skills
- demonstrated ability to resolve customer issues and ensure KPIs are met
