  • maintain accurate financial records and activities
  • assist with internal audits, and the preparation of year end accounts to audited stage

  • to assist managing insurance policies and insurance claims
  • understand and assist with Construction industry scheme , crown estate, leases, licenses and compliance
  • assist in the management of banking and corporate financing requirements
  • work with the Business Development and Commercial team to monitor BREXIT implications and compliance
  • understand and monitor customs obligations for temporary storage, including requirements under the new Border Operating Model

Requirements

  • candidates should be degree qualified, or be working towards an equivalent professional certification

  • chartered accountant with a firm understanding and working practice in UK tax, commercially astute with strong understanding of financial reporting, strong organisational skills with ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines; strong interpersonal and communication skills; proficient use of financial systems and payroll software, ability to work independently and contribute positively to a team, experience working in a similar role

Responsibility

  • this is an operational and strategic role
  • the post holder will be tasked with ensuring the effective management of the finance function, including forecasting, reporting and budgeting
  • to provide financial and commercial support to Management Teams and Directors including the management reporting, preparation of the budgets and forecasts and financial analysis on all aspects of the business
  • the post holder will be responsible for ensuring that appropriate financial systems are in place to maximise efficiency while making sure that systems and processes are in line with business and regulatory requirements
  • the post holder will have an understanding and experience of the challenges presented by working across a multi site and multi functional organisation with a strong customer services focus

Requirements

  • fully Qualified Member of CCAB or equivalent qualification, e.g. CA/ACCA/CIMA
