AS & E is looking for employees for positions:
support engineer
Responsibility
- perform product support for Rapiscan | AS&E systems
- resolve assigned service calls escalated from a 1st Line Triage, Call Center Teams or from regional service managers
- provide expert product specific support for technical product issues not resolved by the 1st Line or Triage Call Center Teams
- product Complaint Investigations – Provide expert support and leadership is support of field service investigations and product reliability programs
- gather, share and analyze data in investigating product complaints, at the unit or fleet level
- determine if complaint is caused by user/technician error, environmental factors, configuration error, poor product quality or design deficiency
- recommend appropriate additional troubleshooting or corrective steps to resolve complaint
- engage other departments as necessary to resolve assigned escalations
Requirements
- minimum 5 years of supporting complex capital equipment in a service capacity is required
- previous X-Ray systems experience a plus
- B.S in Electronic /Electrical Technology or Engineering with Mechanical Engineering experience preferred
- demonstrable mechanical ability and knowledge
- in depth knowledge / skills of Analog, Digital, Mechanical and hydraulic systems
- possess the willingness and flexibility to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%
- networking hardware and software knowledge and application skills required
- work independently to plan and arrange travel accommodations within Rapiscan | AS&E guidelines
