- consult with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on styles, fabrics, and alterations
- maintain an organised workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are in good condition and a safe working environment
- keep accurate records of client measurements and preferences
- collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards
- willing to do overtime in the busy season
Requirements
- proven a minimum of 5 years of experience as a seamstress or in a similar role is essential
- proficiency in machine and hand sewing techniques, fabric types, and garment alterations and repair methods is required
- strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
- ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- good body language and tone communication skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their needs
- familiarity with using sewing machines and other tailoring tools is necessary
- A creative mindset with an eye for fashion trends is advantageous
- clothing alterations and repair: 5 years
