- assist the orthodontist/therapist during examinations and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- prepare dental surgeries and LDU rooms by sterilising instruments and setting up necessary equipment
- maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans
- communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and provide reassurance
- manage appointment schedules and ensure timely patient flow within the practice
- maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dental surgery and waiting areas
- support administrative tasks
Requirements
- strong organisational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- A caring attitude towards patient care, ensuring a positive experience for all individuals visiting the practice
- proficiency in IT systems related to dental practice management is advantageous
- ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required
- previous experience as a Dental Nurse is preferred but not essential; newly qualified dental nurses will be supported as training will be provided for the right candidate
- dental Nursing: 1 year
- edinburgh: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work
