Requirements
- minimum 3 years professional experience, preferably within the residential new build sector
- strong understanding of cost control principles and practices within the construction industry
- excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in financial reporting
- effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for liaising with clients, contractors, and team members
- ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- surveying: 3 years
- degree in Quantity Surveying preferable but not essential
Responsibility
- quantifying, ordering and liaising with supply chain to ensure material/plant to support site requirements as required
- prepare and monitor all supporting documentation for extension of time and loss in expense claims, in line with the contract documentation
- prepare monthly client applications for payments and follow through to receipt of client certificate, in line with the works completed on site and cash flow position
- remain the single point of accountability for reporting weekly and monthly commercial reports to the Company Directors
- handle procurement of sub-contractor packages and present proposals to the project team
- manage cost throughout the project stages through to financial close and during construction. Assisting when required with regards to cost evaluation, procurement and variation advice
