ARABESQUE SCHOOL OF DANCE is looking for employees for positions:

dance teacher

Responsibility

  • deliver high-quality dance instruction
  • deliver high-quality dance instruction in ballet and possibly other dance genres
  • develop lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students, ensuring progression and skill development
  • create a positive, safe and inclusive atmosphere that encourages student participation and confidence
  • assess student performance regularly and provide constructive feedback to foster improvement
  • organise and prepare students for exams, competitions, or showcases as required
  • maintain a safe and clean studio environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • collaborate with other instructors to plan events, workshops, or special classes

Requirements

  • level 4 dance teaching qualification with registered teacher status
  • RAD teaching qualification with registered teacher status
  • proven experience as a Dance Instructor in a similar role is preferred
  • strong knowledge of various dance styles and techniques
  • excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students
  • ability to work well with children and adults of varying skill levels
  • patience, creativity, and adaptability are essential traits for success in this role
  • previous experience in choreography or performance is desirable but not mandatory

Education

  • GCSE or equivalent
