- managing end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate salary payments, tax deductions, pensions, and other statutory obligations
- auditing and verifying timekeeping records, employee hours, and leave balances to ensure accuracy in payroll processing
- managing statutory and voluntary deductions, ensuring accurate calculation and processing of overtime, bonuses, and adjustments
- keeping up to date with UK payroll regulations, tax laws, and employment legislation to ensure full compliance
- overseeing payroll software and databases, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and security in payroll processing
- ensuring that all salary payments comply with UK employment laws and company policies
- we are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Manager to join our team and oversee payroll operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with UK employment laws
- preparing payroll reports, conducting internal payroll audits, and supporting external audits to maintain financial transparency
Requirements
- strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, tax codes, National Insurance, pensions , and statutory deductions
- experience in timekeeping records, managing overtime payments, and handling salary compliance issues
- proficiency in Moneysoft, Sage Payroll and Xero Payroll is a must
- exceptional attention to detail and strong numerical skills
- proven ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- minimum 5 years of experience as a Payroll Manager with proven track record of managing the entire payroll function of an organisation is essential. Preference will be given if you have an accountancy or payroll qualification
- strong communication skills, with the ability to explain payroll matters to non-specialist employees/clients
