Responsibility

  • lead, train, and inspire the kitchen team to deliver exceptional dishes
  • develop and create menus focused on seasonal, local, and fresh ingredients
  • ensure all food is prepared to a consistently high standard
  • manage food costs and kitchen budgets efficiently
  • oversee stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships
  • maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene
  • ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • be a key part of launching and establishing the restaurant’s reputation in the local area

Requirements

  • proven experience as a Head Chef, ideally in a gastro pub or casual dining environment
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • passion for creating fresh, exciting, and seasonal dishes
  • excellent understanding of kitchen financials, including costing and stock management
  • up-to-date knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
  • ability to work under pressure and handle a busy service
  • A creative and enthusiastic approach to menu development
