Responsibility
- setting up, optimizing, and operating bioreactors
- scaffold fabrication/generation using techniques like freeze-drying, etc
- designing, fabricating, validating, and using bioelectronic devices/sensors for monitoring cells
- designing and building new bioreactors
- cell culture within scaffolds
- planning, efficient execution, comprehensive analysis, and presentation of experimental data
- planning, efficient execution, comprehensive analysis and presentation of bioreactor experiments
- characterisation of scaffolds using various analytical techniques, including Scanning Electron Microscopy , tensile and other mechanical testing, XPS, etc
Requirements
- at least 3 years of hands-on experience designing and operating stirred tank bioreactors for mammalian cells either in industry or academia
- relevant PhD or at least 3 years of relevant work experience beyond Bachelor’s/Master’s
- practical knowledge of and hands-on experience in mechanical design and setup of bioreactors
- significant hands-on expertise in scaffold fabrication using techniques such as electrospinning, soft lithography, freeze-drying, etc
- essential Requirements
- mammalian cell culture proficiency
- minimum Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject such as Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or Bioengineering
- significant hands-on expertise in adherent mammalian cell culture in 3D within scaffolds
