- oversee the Sage 50 accounts to ensure that all payments and invoices are matched correctly with accurate nominal codes
- process monthly payroll to ensure that salaries are correct and any expenses or bonuses have been included
- prepare and process supplier payment runs and handle communication with suppliers
- daily bank reconciliation on Sage 50
- managing CIS scheme for Subcontractors and ensuring monthly returns are submitted online
- prepare and filing quarterly VAT returns
- oversee the maintenance of the fixed asset register
- month-end reporting, including management reports covering sales and gross profit targets
Requirements
- sage 50 & Sage Payroll
- accounts management or bookkeeping
- experienced user of Sage 50 and Sage Payroll
- previous experience in accounting roles at a comparable level
- strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- excellent organisational and time management skills
- confidential and trustworthy
- working knowledge of VAT schemes, CIS, and financial reporting
