fabricator welder

Working hours

  • full-time

Requirements

  • knowledge of welding machine set up and parameters
  • experience driving a fork truck and handling large beams
  • experience with grinding, mag drilling, disc cutting
  • A good understanding of fabrication drawings
  • A certain amount of physical strength due to some manual handling and turning of beams in the workshop
  • an understanding on how to examine work pieces for defects to ensure conformance with specifications
  • the Candidate would ideally be time served and fully competent in fabrication and welding mild steel members. Welding is generally a minimum 6mm fillet, through to 15mm multi run. Butt welding is sometimes required
